Nutrition seems so complicated. From fad diets to fad fasts, from starving to only eating fat, there is so much conflicting advice about what is healthy and what should be avoided. Cut out processed foods

These come in the form of salts, sugar, and all kinds of additives that just aren’t good for your body and increase the risk of high blood pressure and diabetes. Also, heavily processed foods like chicken nuggets are often stuffed with fillers like bread to pack them out. Just cut this food out completely.

Get hydrated

Water helps to move everything through the system, including toxins that you don’t want sitting in the gastrointestinal tract. Drink 2 pints of water every morning before eating. You will find that this helps to clear you through the bowel, which you will notice will stop body odor, bad breath, and gas. Equally, water helps your brain to work more effectively, while also helping the organs to function. Lastly, often we think we are hungry when in fact, it is just thirst. Always drink a glass of water before having a snack.

Decrease bad fats and increase the good

Bad fats or saturated fats come from meats. Red meat is the worst for this, along with butter and cheese. These fats cling to the body. However, unsaturated fats are the good fats and these will help to loosen fat from the body and help your system to burn it. You can find these fats in avocados, oily fish, nuts, and olive oil.

Drop sugar

Sugar is just terrible for you in every way. The problem is that it isn’t confined to your sugary drinks and sweet snacks. Sugar is in everything from ketchup to bread. You need to check the labels to see how much sugar you are really consuming and you will be shocked. Sugar increases the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, tooth decay, mental imbalances, hormone imbalances, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and so on.

Stuff your face with fruits and vegetables

They help to keep the immune system healthy which enables you to fight off diseases. Including herbs and spices here, you will find that eating more fruits and vegetables improves your mood as they release good hormones in the brain and help to rebalance the digestive system. Remember that some fruits contain a lot of sugar so stick to the rule of trying to only eat fruit in the morning.

Feel whole with wholegrain

Starchy carbohydrates are the key to feeling fuller for longer. Try to choose wholegrain foods as these have complex carbohydrates which take longer to break down. White carbs like white bread and white rice are made of more simple carbohydrates and get burnt up quickly in the body.
