3 Myths About Weight Lifting that Need to Die

If you’re into lifting weights and have been doing it for years, I’m sure you’ve heard many of these already.

But if you’re new to lifting, these are especially for you and your kind. The myths surrounding lifting weights are in abundance these days, and while some are lame and obviously silly, others are just as silly but more believable if you don’t know much about this field beforehand.

So if you’re curious about the worst myths surrounding weight lifting that need to die, here are 4 really good ones for you to think about:

Low, Heavy Reps is for Gaining Muscle, High, Lightweight Reps is for Losing Weight

Okay, this one sounds correct to most people, right? After all, on paper, it sounds like it would be right, correct?Unfortunately, it’s pretty stupid. For one, lifting heavy weights is what you should be doing every time you go to the gym, and it’s because you’ll see the most progress.

In addition, lifting heavy also takes the most energy to do, burning the most amount of calories. On top of that, because you really killed those muscles, they’ll continue to burn calories as they repair themselves for up to 48 hours.

Doing 30 reps per set of 10 lbs. on the lat pull machine wouldn’t do as much as 10 reps per set of 100 lbs. on that same machine. Get it now?

So new gym goers go in to the gym with this mindset, and they end up wasting a lot of their time, considering low weight doesn’t build muscle at all, really.

Lifting Supplements Don’t Do Anything

Yeah, eating real food to get all of your nutrients is probably the best idea, but it’s really hard to accomplish, even for the hardcore gym guy.Using protein and other supplements is the way to go to get all of your nutrition in to build a great body.

Since most people don’t like researching for hours about supplements that actually work, here are 3 that will get you that dream body:

  • Nitrogenix 365
  • Xtreme Testosterone
  • Deer Antler Maximum Strength

All of these supplements will increase your male hormones, testosterone, and ultimately give you pounds of muscle in a faster interval

“I Don’t Want to Get Bulky Like a Man”

This is a typical woman response to why they don’t lift weights.“I don’t want to look like a man and get a big body.”

First of all, do you know how long it takes to get a bulky body? Years! You’re not going to wake up one day and be like “crap. I look like a man! I shouldn’t have lifted so heavy yesterday.”

It doesn’t work like that.

Just lift weights and get a great body. It’ll burn more calories anyway, ladies.
